The Commonwealth Civic Association has two beautiful pools for use by residents and their guests – The Briarwood Pool (4545 Briarwood behind Commonwealth Elementary School) and The Knightsbridge pool (at 4330 Knightsbridge at Commonwealth Blvd., adjacent to the clubhouse). The pools are open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The schedule for the current season appears in the Association newsletter as the season nears.  Click here to access the summer pool schedule.

The pools also have plenty of covered areas for seating, bathrooms and shower facilities. They also have the splash pad area and a diving board at the Briarwood Pool and a newly-renovated spiral water slide at the Knightsbridge Pool.

Pools Tags are required by residents to access the pools. New tags are required every year and are available in the spring to members in good standing. Community members can request for pool tags at the Crest Management website under Public Forms

Pool Rentals: The pools can also be rented by residents for special occasions. The pools are managed by A-Beautiful Pools.

Commonwealth Piranhas Swim Team

The Commonwealth is proud to have its own swim team that swims every May-June at the Briarwood Pool. Kids in the neighborhood from ages 5-18 (in High School) accepted on the team swim and compete every season. The team runs on parent volunteers, junior coaches and the team coach, working diligently to ensure the team is a successful junior league team. Enrollment starts in April each year. Their mission is to promote swimming as a lifelong activity, to enable each swimmer to achieve their personal best, and to promote family involvement in recreational swimming. Registration starts in late February/early March.

To read more about practice schedules, registration and competitions, you can visit the Piranhas at their website cwp.swimtopia.com. Look out for a shout-out in the newsletter in the spring!
